Mommy's Strange Dream

Mommy had a terrible dream last night. Mommy dreamt that Megan slipped in her hands while going down stairs and the Megan almost fell. Mommy was so upset about it that this morning on the way to her post partum check up she was extra careful and made sure she completely buckled Megan. Mommy had a strange feeling something is going to happen today. After the check, Mommy and Daddy came home unstrapped Megan but then decided to go out again and do some shopping at the store next block from home. So Mommy and Daddy decided not to strap Megan but when Mommy and Daddy got back, Daddy pulled Megan's basket with only one hand and did it a little fast that the basket tilted and Megan fell towards the car seat with Megan's body totally folded like a ball from waist up, Megan's head touching her toes. Mommy saw it happened and aske Daddy to stop. Mommy rushed to pick Megan up. Megan was asleep and didn't even cry. This totally upset Mommy.

Mommy just decided to have a talk with Daddy right there. Mommy has been very worried how it is gonna be when Mommy will go back to work. Daddy thinks, Megan hates Daddy. But it is not true, of course not. Daddy just needs to get used to Daddy more and Daddy needs to pay attention, be patient and be focused on Megan and not on his computer game or the tv. Mommy explained to Daddy that Megan is very precious and we do not want to regret anything or to miss anything while Megan is growing. Mommy knows that babies grow so fast and Mommy wants to be there while everything is happening and is hoping that Daddy would feel the same. Daddy loves Megan very much but Daddy loves to play too and when he does he get so hooked to it. Mommy is trying to convince Daddy that Megan will just stay with Sylvia (daycare) once Mommy starts working but Daddy doesn't want it because of the costs. Mommy has asked Daddy to just go back to work same time with Mommy so he gets the 100% pay and then not worry about the costs but Daddy's HR is too confusing for him that he did not want to deal with them more than he should.

Daddy said to Mommy today, that Mommy doesn't think Daddy is capable of taking care of Megan by himself...

Mommy said she wants Daddy to work on it with Mommy before Monday...or just make up his mind whether to watch Megan or ask Sylvia. Daddy stopped talking to Mommy...

Megan's taking the bottles well since yesterday. Lola Cecilia decided to buy Megan the premixed in can formula because that was what Megan took right after she was born. It is a little expensive but if Megan likes it then Megan will have it. Mommy is still planning to work on giving Megan the powdered formula because Mommy has always used it to supplement her breastfeeding the whole time, so maybe Megan will be able to take it solely in time.

Mommy In Love

Mommy just finished bathing Megan so she has a chance now to write. Megan sleeps better and longer at night if she has a bath. Mommy has choosen to bath her between 9 to 10 evening because that is going to be her bed time when she goes back to work. Speaking of work, Mommy is going back next Monday and is already very nervous. First, Mommy can't decide if Megan should just switch to bottle then or she should just buy breast pump to keep nursing Megan. The thing is Mommy bought a cheap manual pump before and it didn't work. It cost her $26. Now she heard that if she wants to get a good pump it has to be electric. Electric pumps are around $60 and Mommy is still not sure if it works and Mommy can't even return it in case. And Mommy has to teach Megan now to get used to taking the bottle because Daddy would be left at home with Megan and Mommy doesn't want that Daddy will have trouble with feeding Megan with bottle since Megan is not used to it yet. Daddy does not have much patience and Mommy is really worried about it. Daddy has 3 weeks to watch Megan (before Daddy goes back to work) and Mommy is very nervous about it. Mommy actually is nervous and stressed about a lot of things. How is Mommy going to catch up with her driving skills especially that she has to drive Megan to daycare everyday. Mommy is sad if she has to stop breastfeeding too for some reasons...which Mommy cannot comprehend. But mostly that Mommy is going to miss Megan like crazy when she goes back to work.

Last night, Daddy took Mommy to see X Men III. It was Mommy's first night out with Daddy without Megan. Mommy hasn't reached the theaters yet and she already missed Megan. Mommy kept seeing Megan's beautiful face in her head and wants to go home so bad. Mommy just kept her cool and tried finishing the movie but Mommy was miserable and was thinking how is Mommy going to make it at work. It was strange to Mommy it is like Mommy is inlove with Megan, well of course. But Megan is Mommy's only baby so all these things are new to her. The movie was great though and Daddy was sweet for taking Mommy out. Lola Cecilia watched Megan. Megan was such a good girl, just slept the whole time and only cried when Mommy and Daddy came back.

Trouble with Outdoors

Daddy has a meet today with his car team and Daddy wanted Mommy and Megan to come along so bad he even cleaned the house yesterday. But when Mommy called the nurse line this morning to make sure if it's safe for Megan to go out on a BBQ when she is only 1 month old the advise was no. Poor Daddy got very sad. Nurse said 1 month old infants have very little or almost no immune system at all at it is not good to expose her to a lot of people. Her skin is very thin too so she should not be exposed to any sun at all at this age.

Mommy felt so bad for Daddy but Mommy had to be strong and say no. Megan and Mommy promised Daddy we will catch up when Megan grows a little bigger but for now Megan will spend time home trying to grow as much as she can.

Mommy thinks America is cool they have the Nurse Line like that from Daddy's health provider United Health Care that she can call 24/7 to ask anything about Megan.

Growing Fast

Wow Megan grew so big! On our visit to Doctor, June 1, you measured 21 inches long and weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces (you were born 6 pounds, 33 ounces, 18 inches long). Doctor said you are doing great and right on track. Mommy is so proud of you!

We stayed with your Doctor because Mommy couldn't find a new one on the same place she goes to. But this time your Doctor was on time so that was great too.

Megan turned 1 month yesterday! Wow, time flies so fast! Mommy has got to watch you closely so Mommy won't miss a thing. Mommy called for your daycare today and Megan will start going there on July 10, the day Daddy goes back to work. Mommy will be miserable but Mommy has to work.

Tonight Mommy saw Megan smile fully. Mommy thought that was the first real smile and the rest she saw before were gas. Hmmm how would Mommy know, Megan is her first and only baby. BUT Megan's smile tonight was priceless. Mommy is the happiest.
